1997-06 Jeep Wrangler with NP231 transfer case
1988-95 Jeep Wranglers with NP231 transfer case
1987-01 Jeep Cherokee XJ with NP231 transfer case
Why do I need this Kit? Are you experiencing vibration after you lifted your Jeep? This can be caused by the new angle of your drive shaft, due to the change in geometry when you lifted your Jeep. You can reduce or eliminate this annoying problem by installing a heavy duty slip yoke eliminator kit (also known as SYE kit) for the Jeep NP231 transfer case.
Also 54% Increase in torque capacity and 18% Larger spline diameter.
This kit from Alloy USA includes a re-designed transfer case main shaft which is not only shorter, but has an 18% larger spline diameter, which gives it a 54% increase in torque capacity. By shortening the transfer case length it allows for a longer rear driveshaft which reduces the driveline angle. This reduces or eliminates the vibration and lengthens U-joint life. Also included are a new aluminum rear output housing, bearings, seals, snap rings, bolts and instructions. The purpose of this kit is to replace the slip yoke portion of the NP231 transfer case with a fixed yoke and double cardan-style drive shaft assembly.
Covered by Alloy USA - 10 Year Limited Warranty
NOTE:This item requires a longer driveshaft, 16592.01, 16592.04, or 16592.05, which is available separately and only works with a NP231 transfer case.
